No Carbs ... No Way!

There is a lot of misunderstanding about carbohydrates, fats and proteins and their roles in our health and wellbeing. Recently, I have been hearing that to lose weight, you should stop eating carbohydrates. NO WAY! That kind of talk gives me heart palpitations!
 
We need carbohydrates, healthy, complex carbohydrates are essential for our bodies digestive system and other vital processes. Something many people tend to ignore, or simply are not aware of is that carbohydrates are made up of fruits, veggies & GRAINS.
 
That means when we say I am eating low-carb and we mean that we are eating a minimal amount of grains, we are actually misspeaking. A human body can live without grains, as long as we eat a sufficient amount of veggies and fruits to ensure we have consumed enough fiber and micronutrients. We also need healthy fats, and essential proteins.
